How to Create a Google Review Link
In this tutorial, I show you How to Create a Google Review Link. We’re going to do this in 2 methods by creating a link that opens up all reviews for customers to see and a direct Google Review link that a website user can click to quickly leave a Review. It’s a very handy feature that is not only great for getting Google Reviews but also for website users to quickly pull up and see recent reviews. It’s something that my clients have really loved having on their websites and I’m sure yours will too.
As mentioned in the video, there are a lot of Google Review link tools out there. Some are listed below but I’ve had many problems with them finding my clients Google profiles in order to create a review link so knowing how to do it manually, which is how we’ll do it in this tutorial, has been a life saver for me and I know it will be for you too.
To Create a Google Review Link: (method 1 that shows reviews)
- Search for the business in Google
Make sure you see the Google Profile listing.
- Click the Google Reviews link to open up the reviews
Just click on the link and it will open up the reviews.
- Copy the URL in your browser
Make sure to copy that entire URL. That’s your link.
Then you’re done! That is your Google Review link. I do recommend using bitly.com or another URL shortener then using the shortened link.
To Create a Direct Google Review Link: (method 2 that brings them to a direct review window)
-
-
- Search for the business in Google
Make sure you see the Google Profile listing.
- Click the Google Reviews link to open up the reviews
Just click on the link and it will open up the reviews.
- Click “Write a review”
Click write a review and it’ll open up the directly review window.
- Copy the URL in your browser
Be sure to copy the entire URL, that’s your direct review link.
Then you’re done! That is your direct Google Review link. Same here as I recommend shortening the URL before pasting the link in an email, image, button, etc. Awesome right?
Well I hope you’ve enjoyed this quick, fun and super handy tutorial as it’s really saved my neck numerous times in the past when review link sites didn’t work and my clients love it. Enjoy!
- Search for the business in Google

If you’d like to use the Google Logo with Stars image that I showed in the video, you can right click this image and save for your site(s) as well 🙂
Link Shorteners:
You can also just google for a ton of other options.
Google Link Generators:
Same here, these are a dime a dozen. If you find one that works for you, sweet. But it’s good to know how to do it manually just incase.

I’d love to do more. But as you can imagine, it takes a lot of time and effort to put these together. In order for me to do these, I need to take time away from my business which is what’s currently paying the bills. If you’d like to leave a tip and show your appreciation, it would show me that the time I invest in these is worth it and will help keep more coming!

Thanks for the info. I need to add this to some of my client’s websites. I wish they would let us start with 5 stars instead of none like they use to.
Ah that’s a great point. Yeah hopefully they change that. I wonder if there’s a way to set up a link to auto-populate 5 stars…….
Auto-populate 5 stars will be great.
I looked everywhere, tried everything and nothing worked for me.
In theory some blog posts say that you have to put a “,5” after the number 3 at the end of the URL. I tried but it didn’t work.
In fact if you change the number 3 at the end of the URL to a number 1, the modal becomes View Reviews instead of Write a Review.
Maybe Google doesn’t want us to automate reviews at all, which would make sense to avoid fake reviews.
Awesome tip!! I will definitely implement it for my business and my clients! Thanks Josh!
